Update: I found and fixed the coding issues. The blog now validates as XHTML 1.0 Transitional (December 21, 2009).
The blog template has been updated. I’m seeing some issues in the coding on this end and will be doing some troubleshooting. In the meantime, enjoy!
A new site looking is rolling its way out on Simplistic Technologies. The new look and feel is available for every section of the site except for the blog at the moment. The blog will be receiving the new look as well as soon as I put together a template WordPress can use. Stay tuned.
About a month ago, my father and I relocated ourselves to Lancaster, CA. This should be a permanent move but are still looking to make the move permanent. Currently, we are residing in a motel off Sierra Highway but are busily looking for an apartment or house to move into, along with my oldest brother.
Will post more when we are finally permanent. Accepting clients even during this transition.

WordPress sets the default post category to uncategorized and link category to Blog Roll, neither of which are able to be removed without some work. If you wish to remove either or both, follow the directions listed.
Are you receiving the follow message when attempting to login to Ubuntu? Follow the directions below to fix this issue.
“Users $HOME/.dmrc file is being ignored. This prevents the default session and language from being saved. File should be owned by user and have 644 permissions. Users $HOME directory must be owned by user and not writable by other users.”
If you have setup WordPress in a subdirectory on your site (such as /blog) and wish to display the latest blog(s) on your front page, for instance, you can. Add this code to the top of the page you are including the posts on:
Ubuntu 9.04 offers the ability for Guest Sessions, through the User Switcher application docked on the top panel. This can be removed, if desired, by right clicking it and selecting Remove From Panel. With the User Switcher enabled, there will be no logout/shutdown/guest session or any of the other options available through the menu system. Removing the User Switcher yields a link to Lock Screen, Log Out [username], and Shut Down. However, there is no option for a guest session.
I have been using Gimp for sometime, previously under Windows and now under Ubuntu. However, under Ubuntu it seems the default is to place the toolbox on top of the main Gimp window. This can be annoying, so here is a way to turn off this “feature”.
WordPress: Double Hyphens Convert?

There might be a time when you want to post an entry with double hyphens. However, WordPress wants to show items containing more than one hyphen in a row as a solid line. This is not the desired affect you are after. Thank goodness there is a way to disable this from happening blog wide.
Bring back my double hyphens…
